Our Benefaction: Excellent Education For All

The J.B.Boda Group believes that incorporating the UNSDGs into corporate CSR programmes is critical, particularly in a country like India, where poverty, poor health, and lack of education remains widespread. 

A consistent approach to CSR activities that may benefit the underprivileged, such as eliminating poverty and providing quality education, is required for the nation and its citizens to be fully aware of the realities around them, which is why the Group took the first step by doing their part for public welfare.

Implementation & Innovation

After identifying a thrust region, the Group’s CSR team began looking for NGOs to adopt a community or a school in order to carry out the CSR activities. The J.B.Boda Group was adamant that NGOs must meet the criterion of providing excellent education and nourishment for underprivileged children who cannot afford either formal schooling or good nutrition. The collaboration between the NGO and a reputable firm should address both, the designated emphasis areas of lifting the poor out of poverty and providing quality education at the same time.

The CSR team identified one such NGO, the ‘Ramakrishna Mission’, which has been in operation since 1905, for this purpose. During the peak of COVID 19, the NGO was working on the identified twin activities, with an emphasis on delivering basic needed food products to the lowest strata of society as part of pandemic assistance, and seemed to be the right NGO to partner with in order to provide quality resources to the underprivileged.
